CDTCPL Stokes - In the Bush.

The national bush craft course is held every year for cadets from around the country to learn advanced bush craft skills. This is year I attended the course at RNZAF Dip Flat for 10 days. For most of the time we experienced torrential rain and other weather warnings but the lessons were insightful and they taught me a lot that I didn’t know already. For example, we learnt how to set up an emergency shelter in a couple of hours to get you through a night of wind, cold and rain and I’m happy to report that I was warm! This course is a must do for all cadets wanting to improve their bush craft knowledge and skills as it has taught me a lot and I will definitely use the knowledge that I have gained from this course at cadets and later in life. It was a great opportunity to be able to attend and I thank the officers from 88 SQN for making it possible.
